The Ulticom DSC acts as a load balancer and provides intelligent distribution for Diameter-based transactions across multiple pools of servers performing Online Charging Services (OCS) .. Tecnotree product deployments use Ulticom’s Service-Oriented Routing™ technology. Service-Oriented Routing goes beyond the typical primary-backup reliability strategy commonly used with full mesh Diameter signaling. With Service-Oriented Routing, the DSC manages traffic for network assets (sets of servers that can support a service acting together as a single Logical Service) transparently. The DSC invisibly optimizes the user experience by managing load across server pools and dynamically compensating for congestion or server failure when necessary".
